TEKOA POUERIE

Tekoa Pouerie, Brunch On Purpose special guest speaker, nonprofit leader, and co-pastor of Acceleration Church in Orlando.
Tekoa Pouerie is a dynamic leader with a track record of impact in non-profit leadership and development. She previously served as Vice President at Pace Center for Girls – Headquarters, advocating for over 4,000 girls across 21 centers. Her past roles include leadership at Power Promise Inc. and Harbor House of Central Florida. Tekoa currently serves on boards including Florida Executive Women, The Links Incorporated, and the Mayor of Orlando’s Community Investment Panel. She and her husband co-pastor Acceleration Church in Orlando and are proud parents to two children.

Broward Sheriff’s Office retired Colonel Josefa Benjamin, founder of Born On Purpose and visionary behind Brunch On Purpose
Retired Colonel Josefa Benjamin began her career with the Broward Sheriff's Office in 1993, ultimately retiring after 30 years of service as the Executive Director of Detention and Community Programs—the first African-American woman to hold the position. Following her retirement, she shifted her focus to Born On Purpose Project, a nonprofit she founded in 2014 with a mission to guide others on the journey to discover their God-given purpose. Josefa remains a steadfast advocate for community service and nonprofit impact, all while striving to be a living example of purpose, faith, and legacy for her three sons and grandson.
